With one foot firmly planted in Halloween and giving a wink and nod to those who appreciate the performing arts….may I present Aunt Ophelia Ravenson!

Aunt Ophelia has always had opera in her blood and her exhilarating performances have mesmerized audiences (both living and undead) far and wide!

This opera season, Aunt Ophelia (our Village Diva) will be returning from her world cemetery tour…to take center stage at the Village Opera House, where audiences will be treated to a program of popular and haunting arias. Don’t miss her stirring rendition of La Bat du Dracula, the aria famous for boasting nine high Cs. (Drinking glasses throughout the Village will surely be shattering this season)

Aunt Ophelia is also ready to take the center stage in your home and “Wow” your Halloween guests this year! Don’t let them get too close to this Diva though….she’s been known to nip at times!

Congratulations JoycEE!

I want to congratulate my best friend Joyce Stahl of Enchanted Productions on her article in the current issue of Art Doll Quarterly! Joyce submitted 4 dolls for the fall 2009 issue and they used all 4 of her dolls!!

As you all may well know, I list Joyce's dolls for her on eBay. She creates, I take their pics, she writes their auction descriptions and I set up their auctions and add the music that goes with them.

It was 3 years ago that Joyce walked into our shoppe with her dolls and their was one that as soon as I saw it, I said, "Joyce, this doll needs to go on eBay......." and the rest is history! =D

Now she can finally say that she's published......and in what is known as "The Most Elite" of all the Doll Magazines out there! It's been a long road Joycee, but well worth every mile! I'm so proud of you and happy for you!!

Below is the photo shoot of her 4 dolls that we took at the shoppe the day before they were all shipped off to California. We were even able to keep track of their journey across the states, thanks to the USPS online Track and Confirm feature!

We're so excited to tell you about our Village Gift Shoppe Americana Open House this Friday June 26th from 10-5 & Saturday June 27th from 10-6! Located at 106 N. Walnut St. in historical downtown Gnadenhutten, our shoppe is filled with all kinds of primitive goodies from our consignment artists! The building we're in was built in the 1920's and features the original tin ceiling and wooden floors. OK everyone......grab a hand full of candy corn and a popcorn ball or candy apple! Turn on the fog machine, cue the thunder and spooky music and someone release the bats.......cause it's time for some spooky, Halloween fun! (cackle*cackle)

So.....without further ado......may I present to you......the Queen of Halloween herself.....her Majesty, Scarie Antoinette!


Her Royal Highness is not only stunning in her Halloween finery and fashion, but has an added touch of creepiness here and there.......and I swear I heard her say "Let them eat candy corn!" one day.


Joyce has really outdone herself with this amazing doll! Pictures do not do her justice! The details are absolutely amazing and so is her bouffant hair do!
